1. Submit volunteer inquiry

2. Submit application

3. Attend orientation

4. Interview

5. Complete background check

6. Meet your Little!

Are you…

  • A good listener?

  • Someone with a big heart?

  • Responsible?

  • Available 3-6 hours per month?

  • Interested in making a life-long impact?

If so, you’d make a great ‘Big.’

We are matching volunteers over the age of 18 with children between the ages of 6-14 throughout Mercer County. Bigs and Littles meet one-to-one monthly, to spend time together doing an activity together or just talking. BBBS of Mercer County also organizes group events, like attending a Trenton Thunder game or going to the Camden Aquarium.

Being a Big is a rewarding experience that positively impacts children in our community.

A few hours a month could make an impact that lasts a lifetime.

I really wanted an opportunity to give back to people. I grew up in a difficult environment and I didn’t have the support of family and throughout my childhood and throughout high school. I relied heavily on some key mentors.

A Call for Big Brothers

We’re always looking for more mentors, especially men. We have boys waiting to be matched with a role model. Research shows that having the positive influence of a Big Brother makes a real difference in a boy's life. So join the hundreds of thousands of volunteers who give a young person someone to look up to for guidance.
